Welcome!

Question
[edit]Im new user here to wikipedia. How can i edit semi-protected pages? Ana Bego (talk) 14:48, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Ana Bego: Wikipedia:Protection policy § Semi-protection discusses semi-protection. It says:
Semi-protected pages cannot be edited by unregistered users (IP addresses), as well as accounts that are not confirmed or autoconfirmed (accounts that are at least 4 days old with at least 10 edits on English Wikipedia).
- Wikipedia:User access levels § Confirmed users, as linked to by "confirmed" in that text, refers to users who have asked to be made "conformed" by a Wikipedia administrator (I am not an administrator and have no interest in being one) to mark them as "confirmed". Wikipedia:User access levels § Autoconfirmed users, as linked to by "autoconfirmed" in that text, refers to users whose accounts are at least 4 days old and have made at least 10 edits on the English-language Wikipedia, so you'd either have to get an administrator to confirm you or you'd have to make at least 10 edits to an article or article here. Guy Harris (talk) 16:18, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
- I have been editing Wikipedia since January 17, 2025, i have only made 3 edits and my account is 11 days old so im currently autoconfirmed Ana Bego (talk) 11:20, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Ana Bego: Presumably you mean that you're not currently autoconfirmed - Wikipedia's requirements for being autoconfirm require 10 edits, but you only have 3 edits. Guy Harris (talk) 14:36, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
- Ok Ana Bego (talk) 14:40, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
- Actually, i have many edits Ana Bego (talk) 14:40, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Ana Bego: It appears from Special:Contributions/Ana_Bego that you have more than 10 edits to regular Wikipedia pages, so you might now be autoconfirmed. If that doesn't work, you'll have to ask for help from the Wikipedia maintainers (I am an editor - as are you - but I'm not not a maintainer). Guy Harris (talk) 14:49, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
